About Wendy

From Barista to Brand-Builder

I didn’t start in marketing—I started in coffee. At Nordstrom, I worked my way from barista to corporate Instructional Designer, learning how to turn complex systems into clear, engaging training.

In 2014, I moved to Mexico, where freelance branding projects found me while navigating new motherhood. One logo turned into a website, then a full system overhaul—and I was hooked.

When I opened Local Donut, I had no roadmap—just a sweet tooth and a drive to figure it out. I learned branding, systems, and leadership the hard way: by doing.

Where Branding Meets Backbone

Beautiful brands are only half the battle. Without smart systems and clear communication, even great ideas get stuck. That’s why I blend strategic design with operational clarity—so your brand doesn’t just look good, it works.
